DALYTE KODZIS, mezzo soprano, has been singing classically for over eight years.  Her first vocal accomplishment occurred when she won the Orinda Arts Council Scholarship Competition in 2002, for her performance of Georges Bizet's Seguidilla from Carmen. At the Univeristy of California, Santa Cruz, she was given the opportunity to perform in some of the most beloved scenes and full-scale productions in the operatic repertoire.  Roles have included the Prioress in Dialogues des Carmelites, the title role in Carmen, Mustardseed in Benjamin Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Mrs. Jones in Kurt Weill's Street Scene.  She also played the title role in a UCSC’s Opera Outreach production Carmenella which aimed to introduce the art of opera to school children.  She graduated from UCSC with a Bachelor of Music degree in 2006 and was recently a featured soloist in Trinity Opera’s Opera in the Park.  She has perfomed with Goat Hall Productions (San Francisco Cabaret Opera).  She played the role of Georgina in Pocket Opera’s The Haunted Monor.
